ISOO is the leading global society for clinicians and scientists working in ocular and adnexal oncology. Our 2026 application window is now open.

Important deadline: applications for Ordinary Membership close on 31 May 2026 (23:59 UTC). All other categories are reviewed by the Board on a monthly basis throughout the year.

Why Become a Member

Congress access: Discounted registration for our biennial in-person Congress, plus free access to the ISOO Virtual Congress.

Journal: Free access to Ocular Oncology and Pathology (Karger).

Webinars: Live webinar series with on-demand access to the full historic library.

Resource library: Lifetime access to past Congress abstracts and recordings.

Abstracts: Eligibility to submit abstracts for any ISOO event (members in good standing).

Networking: A global community of clinicians, scientists, and trainees focused on ocular oncology.

Governance (Ordinary Members): Voting rights and eligibility to serve on committees or the Board.

Membership Categories

Ordinary  ·  Voting Category

For MDs, PhDs, and faculty whose primary focus is ocular oncology.

Requires: Five or more Medline-indexed publications in ocular oncology, OR a confirmed reference from an existing Ordinary Member. Plus CV and completed training.

Member-in-Training

For residents, fellows, and PhD students.

Requires: Proof of current training and a reference letter from a current Ordinary Member.

Collaborating

For clinicians or scientists with ocular oncology as a secondary focus.

Requires: Documentation of involvement in ocular oncology, OR a reference from an ISOO member. Plus CV.

Allied

For industry, biopharma, NGO, and support roles in ocular oncology.

Requires: Description of role and supporting documentation linking the role to ocular oncology. No reference required.

Key Dates & Timelines

For Ordinary applicants (annual cycle)

15 May 2026: Recommended submission date (allows time for a reference)

31 May 2026: Final application deadline

15 to 30 June 2026: Ordinary Member ballot

By 15 July 2026: Decision letters sent

For all other categories (rolling)

Review: First week of each month

Typical decision cycle: 6 to 9 weeks

Note: Applications submitted within 30 days of an ISOO conference are not guaranteed review in time for that event.
